These terms cover your use of Movie Night Picker. By using it you agree to them; if you don't, please don't use it.

What it is

Movie Night Picker is a free tool for a group to choose a film together. An organiser sets up an event and sends each person their own link. Everyone suggests films — or votes on films the organiser has chosen — and the site works out the winner.

Organiser accounts

• You sign in with your Google account, and you're responsible for what's done with it here.
• You're responsible for the events you create, including their names and the names you enter for the people you invite.
• Keep your organiser links to yourself — they control your events.

Invite links

Each invite link works for whoever has it; we can't tell who is using a link. Send each link only to the person it's meant for.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• use the site for anything unlawful;
• enter anything abusive or hateful, or that infringes anyone else's rights;
• try to get into events or accounts that aren't yours;
• disrupt the site or overload it — for example with automated requests — or use it to collect film data in bulk.

Film information

Film titles, descriptions and posters come from TMDb, and TMDb's own terms apply to that content. This product uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDb. We can't promise the film information is accurate or complete.

Availability

The site is provided free and “as is”. We may change or remove features, it may sometimes be unavailable, and we can't guarantee your data will never be lost — so please don't rely on it for anything more important than choosing a film. We may also stop running it altogether.

Suspending accounts

We may suspend or delete accounts or events that break these terms. You can stop using the site at any time, and ask us to delete your account — see the privacy policy.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, or from not being able to use it. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top when we do, and if you keep using the site after that, you're accepting the new version.
